Video game publisher and developer Bethesda officially announces more of its plans for its E3 2016 conference, revealing that the event is open to the public.
As was the case last year with Bethesda ‘s first ever E3 press conference, the publisher and developer has divulged that its 2016 presentation at the Electronic Entertainment Expo will also be open to the public, but this time around, it will provide expanded activities such as hands-on demos of the games being shown at the event. Bethesdais calling it BE3 Plus, on top of playable previews of the titles, fans will get to enjoy hosted interviews, a bevy of food and drinks, as well as a “top-secret” band taking the stage to perform after the keynote address.
During Bethesda’s E3 2015 showcase, over 1,000 fans were in the audience, and the studio plans on getting just as many, if not more folks to attend this year. With that in mind, should anyone care to attend the ceremonies on June 12, 2016 in Los Angeles, California, they can sign up to do so all the way through Sunday, May 1, by registering at the company’s website right here.
Of course, should fans not be able to make it to the event due to distance, scheduling conflicts, or any other reason, the 2016 showcasefrom Bethesda at E3 will be streamed live online, beginning at 6:15pm PDT with a pre-show, followed by the press conference officially starting right at 7:00pm PDT, and then continuing with BE3 Plus swinging into action at 8:00pm PDT. Once the main address is over, Bethesda promises to deliver more details about the games it plans to discuss, and give fans a behind-the-scenes peek at the celebration.
Considering Bethesda’s blockbuster reveal of such major projects as, DOOM , and Dishonored 2 at E3 2015, it’s highly likely we will see the studio pull out all of the stops yet again. Of course, no titles have officially been announced as being presented, but since the second installment in the Arkane Studios-developed stealth-action franchise has a release date set for later this year beyond the expo, it’s probable that Bethesda will reveal more details for it at E3 2016.
About a month ago, Bethesda’s Todd Howard announced three “big and crazy” projects were in the pipelinefor the studio, but he didn’t reveal any particulars, only stating that they were a “long way off” from being completed. That said, it wouldn’t be strange if the Bethesda director and executive producer took the stage at E3 this year to confirm at least one of the ventures. Regarding the matter, with the studio having posted job listings looking for four programmers to work on its next game, which could be a “bleeding-edge RPG,”it’s entirely possible for Bethesda to announce a brand new IP. However, it wouldn’t be all that surprising if it was Elder Scrolls 6 that ended up being the role-playing game in question.
What do you think about Bethesda’s plans to include hands-on demos at its E3 press conference this year? Which titles would you like to see the studio include in the show? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
Bethesda ‘s most recently released title is Fallout 4, which is out now and available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
