Nintendo of America\’s Damon Baker has revealed that Gone Home will indeed be coming to the Wii U eShop after rumblings over the past few months.
Gone Home is a first person interactive story-based adventure game developed by The Fullbright Company. The story is set in June 1995 at a house in the Pacific Northwest as a young woman returns home after travelling abroad. She soon discovers that her entire family have vanished, but fortunately for Kaitlin, several clues have been left behind including a note from her sister telling her to not go looking for answers to their disappearance. The game won the BAFTA 2013 Award for \”Best Debut Title\” and was also nominated for \”Best Story\”.
The game is one of the 90+ games currently in development for the Wii U thanks to Nintendo\’s licensing deal with Unity. Nintendo has paid the licensing fees so developers can bring their games to the Wii U eShop with as little effort as possible, they simply have to purchase the development kits which are cheaper than competitors.
