Fallout 4 receives its second expansion pack today in the form of Wasteland Workshop , with the additional content giving players the ability to capture live creatures.

Although the game world of Fallout 4 has proved to be a large playground for gamers already, fans of the title have still been anticipating the release of the open-world RPG’s downloadable content. Last month saw the release of the Automatron pack, which granted users the ability to create robot companions, but Bethesda is wasting no time in getting even more content out there. In fact, Fallout 4’s second DLC pack is available today.

Named Wasteland Workshop , this newexpansion delivers an interesting new game mechanic to players: the ability to trap living creatures, from Deathclaws through the human raiders. The user will then be able to tame those captured, or face them off in battle. Alongside this feature, the DLC also includes plenty more design options for the player’s settlements, including nixie tube lighting and even taxidermy.

Wasteland Workshop is available today for any gamers interested in picking it up. The additional content makes up part of Fallout 4’s season pass, but is also available as a one-off purchase, and retails for $4.99. The pack is ready to buy for all platforms today, so Xbox One, PC, and PS4 users can all get their hands on the DLC pack.

The DLC pack is the second lot of additional content for Fallout 4 , following on from the Automatron pack that launched last month. That pack in question not only gave players the chance to build their own companions, but also to take part in a new quest line of their own. Wasteland Workshop , meanwhile, seems very much focused around building upon what is available to the sole survivor without making drastic changes.

Of course, plenty of players will no doubt be awaiting more news on the Far Harbor expansion. The final part of Fallout 4’s season pass DLC, Far Harbor looks set to deliver a huge amount of content, with Bethesda announcing that the DLC pack includes the largest landmassthat the developer has ever created in a post-release expansion. The Far Harbor additional content is expected to arrive soon, too, with the pack scheduled to hit in May.

As such, Wasteland Workshop may appear as little more than a mid-day snack between the more substantial meals of Automatron and Far Harbor . However, the pack will no doubt tick plenty of boxes for players, particularly those who felt as though Bethesda could do more with settlement building. With plenty more content still to come, including free updates such as the Fallout 4 Creation Kit, it looks as though there is still a lot more for Fallout fans to sink their teeth into.

Fallout 4: Wasteland Workshop is available today for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
