Naughty Dog has only recently started talking about the multiplayer portion of Uncharted 4 , first with a reveal trailer at Paris Games Weeklast month, which gave fans their first look at some of the new gameplay mechanics at work including the ability to call in sidekicks and utilize powers from items call mysticals. Just recently, Naughty Dog took to their Twitch channel to debut even more gameplay footage, giving gamers a chance to take in over an hour and a half a beta gameplay including seeing new mechanical tweaks in action such as rolling and melee.

Following a recent online trend thanks to games like Halo 5: Guardians , Uncharted 4 is adding in a RNG-based loot system, where players will open virtual “chests” to unlock new customization options for their characters. This also means that microtransactions will be available for playerswho would rather spend real money in order to gain access to these options faster than they would by earning in-game currency. Naughty Dog has made assurances to fans that normal gameplay items will not be locked behind these microtransactions and can be earned through normal gameplay. Depending on how fully featured the beta is, we should have a better ideas as to how unlockables work starting tomorrow.
